About PartsHub

Built for Suame Magazine.

Suame Magazine in Kumasi is one of West Africa's largest markets for vehicle repair and spare parts. Its dealers sell the parts that keep Ghana's taxis, trotros and trucks on the road. PartsHub Africa brings that market online.

Money moves only when the part does.

The problem

Buyers

Buying a used part today usually means a trip to Suame and a walk from stall to stall. There is no way to check the price, no way to be sure the part fits before you see it, and no help if the deal goes wrong. Buyers outside Kumasi either make the trip or send money to someone they hope is honest.

Sellers

Sellers have the mirror problem. A shop's customers are the people who walk past it. A dealer with exactly the part a driver in Takoradi needs has no way to be found by that driver, and no safe way to be paid.

What we built

PartsHub is not a directory or a classifieds board. It carries the money.

The buyer pays with Mobile Money, PartsHub holds the payment, and the seller is paid when the buyer collects the part and gives their pickup code.

Around that one rule sit the things that make strangers trust each other: verified identities, ratings from real orders, and a team that decides when something goes wrong.

Our principles

01

Money moves only when the part does.

02

Phone first. Everything works on the phone sellers and buyers already have.

03

Fair to both sides. Buyers are protected from bad parts, sellers from buyers who never come.

04

Start small, get it right. We open with a small group of shops in Suame and grow from there.

What comes next

Today, buyers collect parts at the shop. Delivery across Ghana is planned for a later phase, starting with shops that have a proven record.

Who we are

PartsHub Africa is built by two partners, one in Germany and one in Ghana.

COMPOWER
Germany · Karlsruhe

COMPOWER has built for the web since 1995, from its first website to web-based selection and sizing tools for gears and UPS systems. Today we build web solutions with AI: chatbots, intelligent selection and dimensioning tools, and online platforms. Since 2019 we have developed and run kasuwa.de, now the biggest German DIY marketplace. We also work for industrial clients and in GIZ development-cooperation projects.

HOPin Academy
Ghana · Tamale

HOPin Academy has supported entrepreneurs from Tamale, Northern Ghana, since 2013. With practical, technology-based training, we help founders build the skills they need to compete. Together with more than 20 corporate partners, we have incubated over 150 startups and run more than a hundred community events. HOPin brings local knowledge, a founder network and a strong place in the community.
